Pot Luck Supper

28 10 2008

Sorry bloggers, should have reported back much sooner on, what was, a very fine evening!! Haven’t even got the excuse that I was busy clearing up afterwards, because we had lots of help with that from our lovely Skills Exchange members!

This was our first “Pot Luck” supper and we had the theme of “International” cuisine. Our members rose to the challenge and we had a wide range of yummy food donated including vegetarian sushi, pea and potato curry, sweet pepper hummus, vegetarian moussaka, samosas and pakora. Everyone who brought food received 1 Time Credit to say thanks.

As well as stuffing our faces we had a Quiz with questions about Time banking and Local History, thanks to the Area 4 History Blog for providing the local knowledge. Have a look, it’s full of gems of information http://area4history.wordpress.com. We also had books and films available to borrow from our newly launched “Book Swap”. Sorry to say it again, but blimey we’re brilliant.

Anyone out there who came along and want to leave a comment, would be great to hear from you. Sure this won’t be the last “Pot Luck” Supper we do, so any suggestions for future themes would be welcome.
